2012-10-16 Lecture by Josep Bohigas, BOPBAA
Josep Bohigas,
professor
at
the
ETSABarcelona
and
architect
of
the
award-winning
firm
BOPBAA
gave
a lecture
at
the
Trespa
Design
Center
in
EL Born
neighborhood,
adjacent
to
our
site.
Josep
warned
us
about
the
use of
clichés
in
the
works
of
foreign
architects
in
Barcelona, Nouvel,
Perrault,
Ito
and
Foster
and
proposed
alternative
methods
for
working
in
Barcelona illustrated
with
student's work around
the
theme
of
Tactical
Urbanism
for
the
Rambla/Colon improvement
as well
as a collective
urban
proposal
from
several
young
firms
from
Barcelona for
the
opportunistic
development
of
Avenida del Parrallel.
Josep also
presented
works
of
the
firm
in
the
old
district
including
the
Molino theatre,
the
renovation
and
extension
of
the
iconic
theatre
on
Avenida del Parrallel.
